SHE IS WOMAN - WATCH HER ROAR - SARAH PALIN

IN TOUCH WITH SELF, ECONOMY, MIDDLE AMERICA

What an enlightening election year. What is a women? She is invincible, she is strong, she is smart, she is in touch with her womanhood. The elite feminist have attacked Sarah Palin in force. They have been cruel in their response to this women who is a wife, a mother, (doing whatever it takes for her family & her country), deals with the everyday "middle American" life. She stands by her principals (whether I agree with them or not, is not the issue) she is a governor, she is smart, she is attractive, she is a complete women. So why do the feminist fear her? Why do they hate her. I think it is because she is confident in her womanhood. She doesn't have penis envy. She doesn't need to compete with men. She is comfortable in her own skin.

Another woman that I admire is Hillary Clinton. She endured sexist attacks from the Obama camp, I respect the fact that she has not participated in the destruction of Sarah Palin. I could be wrong, but Hillary admires Sarah Palin. Hillary has shown a great deal of class, she has not been nasty, mean, Hillary is not intimidated by Sarah Palin like the rest of the elite liberal feminist. Hate is a terrible thing, hate emanates from the ignorant & insecure.

The Washington elite are out of touch with middle America. Obama is out of touch with middle America. Obama sucks on the economy. Last summer when McCain suggested the feds give us a tax break at the pump, Obama didn't think that the $100 +/- dollars we would save would make a difference. He was wrong. EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS. No, we couldn't go on holiday to some exotic place, like Obama, but we could have put more food on the table, a few more gallons in the tank. When you are middle America every penny counts. If Obama wins, America losses. Obviously, he can't relate to our budget. Obama is out of touch with middle America.

Thank you, for helping me to retain faith in this great country and it's great people. This web site is radical far left, be very careful Ma'am, they will be coming after you. Great post; an American truth.

If Hillary & Sarah can handle it so can I.

The woman is an absolute idiot. Without a teleprompter she is completely lost. She has embarrassed herself repeatedly. Check out Youtube lady or better yet google "Sarah Palin is an idiot", "Sarah Palin is a moron" and see what you find. She may be a wife and mother but then so are the rest of us. We may be wonderful - to our families - but that doesn't qualify us to be the second in command in the, still, most powerful nation on earth and neither does it make her. She is an embarrassment.

I think it is Obama who has to take a teleprompter even to his outdoor meetings.  Seems he can't stay on message without it.  Sarah Palin, a novice, actually managed to overcome a dysfunctional telepromper.  (Oh well, who cares about facts)  Sarah Palin is not an idiot or moron.  Anything can be put on youtube, fact or fiction.  Quite frankly my research (try checking several fact checkers) suggests she is probably the only real person in this election.  Check out Franklin Raines, Fannie Mae, Obama, Bill Ayers, the Daley Machine a small grant obtained by Obama that was mis-spent (I'm sure it wasn't his fault), you might be enlightened.  Oh, just for fun, I take offense at the tone of your comment.

Great hub. I admire you for writing this knowing you'd more than likely get trashed. But, you told the truth, and like it or not America, this hub is right! I feel the same as blangrehr. It would be nice if hp was more balanced. Sadly, America is like that too about a lot of things. Keep up the great work! You just got a fan!

One thing that never ceases to amaze me is that everyone thinks it takes someone who is wordily to lead. What it actually takes is someone who can keep a family functioning on all fronts. Things happen that is beyond our control, but in the end it always works out, (in a loving family).

Moms have the toughest job there is. They have to keep up with everything for their children and their husbands too most of the time. They have to keep the house moving and organized.

Although I don't think she did very well in the debate last night, Joe Biden didn't slam her. Personally I think both should have done a much better job. One thing Sarah Palin did do. She looked Biden right dead in the eyes many times as she would rebut his answer. That shows me that she has the spunk to do what is necessary.

Many politicians are out of touch with reality. Probably most, if not all. They don't really see what is actually going on around them or they just don't care. It seems to me that if something doesn't happen very soon, there will be a revolution. The leaders of this nation need to come together and fix things and forget about all the other countries.

"Get the plank out of your own eye, then you can clearly see to help your brother get the plank out of his." Our leaders need to read that statement which was made by Jesus Christ Himself, (although paraphrased.) Then they need to act upon it.

Good alternate perspective. But given McCain's age and health she is a heartbeat away from becoming the commander in chief. Regarding Obama no matter what he is (he is an ELECTED representative by the huge majority of americans who have nominated him for the democratic party ticket unlike sarah who is SELECTED thanks to McCain)

Yesterday's debate she was ok but what's it with winking....LOL

Shades of Gray 3 years ago

Joe Biden is just a heart beat away from being as President too! He was also selected. I would rather move forward with Palin than backward with Biden.

One thing I realized a few days ago. those who are for Obama already have McCain in the grave if he wins. Kind of laughable I think. :P LOL

Think that's what they are hoping for? If so, that's kinda mean.

Chances of her being the commander in chief are 1 in 5 according to CNN. Obama is healthy and young enough to last atleast another 2 decades. Iam just stating facts but I guess when thrusted the responsibility she may pickup the skills on the job.

Sorry...I can't help but laugh at the illogical argument & fear that McCain could die and Palin could succeed him.  Perhaps I've gotten all cynical after the Y2K scare and the whole WMD that didn't turn up spit.  Can we stop being alarmists long enough to concentrate on what is good for the country for the next FOUR years?

If I read your comment correctly countrywomen...then I can safely assume that McCain has an 80% chance of surviving the next four years.  Not too bad.  Did Obama get a 100% guarantee of surviving the next four years and I just missed the memo?

Youth and health aren't guarantees of longevity unfortunately.  But look at it this way...with all that time on his hands, I'm sure that he can try again in 2012 and 2016 and 2020....

I haven't made up my mind yet on who I will be voting for.  But I'm fairly certain I won't be making my choice based on who will live longer.

Spryte,

I was responding shades of gray. As for me being "Illogical" I guess the mainstream media is responsible for raking up his age and cancer related health issues. The media seldom raises issues for VP being a heartbeat away until these elections. I agree youth and health aren't guarantees for longevity. Anything can happen to anyone at anytime what the media has brought about is the probability of certain events happening. Being an engineer can't help looking at probability models. LOL

Great hub. I don't think the left hates Sarah Palin. They are afraid of her and what she stands for so they must attack her. She is everything they are not. When Bill Clinton cheated on his wife, to them, it was ok because everyone does it,well, everyone doesn't do it. She stands for everything that is good. She stands for everything that good, descent, hardworking people want in an elected official and they just can't comprehend what that actually is. The left and right have their bases,it is the independents that decide elections. Sarah Palin connects with them. Middle America shares her values. She is truly a Washington outsider and would be a welcome breath of fresh.

Country - :) I know you were merely repeating mainstream media's argument...and I was trying to point out that they were the ones guilty of being illogical (not you...sorry if it came across as otherwise).

Still...I refuse to parrot anything that I deem to be complete and utter nonsense (like Y2K etc) and reinforce the media's strategy of making me some little puppet Chicken Little. It's demeaning and I'm perfectly capable of making up my own mind. I can't tell you how much I wish that the news would really return to presenting the news and not turning it into some entertainment show...

But I guess those days are gone. At least for now.

Finally, at least I hope so, maybe journalism will return to reporting who, what, where, when & how, not biased opinion & commentary telling us what we heard or saw, what was meant, who won, who didn't, what we should think Some Commentary is good, presenting both sides is good, but deliberately trying to make someone look bad, that goes over the line. Most people will shoot themselves in the foot without any gotcha moments, or tape editing that might take the politician, or Joe sixpack out of context.

SirDent profile image

I doubt the media will ever go back to reporting actual new that is worth reading. They seem to have a niche in fiction writing. :P

Shades of Gray profile image

Shades of Gray Hub Author 3 years ago

You could be right, like congress & the senate we need to do some house cleaning in the media. Some of the new who don't know any better & the old need a good colon cleaning. They need to get over themselves & maybe realize we are more intelligent than they think we are.

blangrehr profile image

The MSM has taken control of this country. They have picked both candidates for president in this election. They decide what gets reported and what is news. It is all opinion journalism in support of Barack Obama. Last night I watched the debate on Fox; I thought the moderator did a great job. After the debate I flipped over to MSNBC to see if they felt like I did, I don’t know what they thought because the only thing I could hear was Obama supports screaming and holding signs. I flipped back to Fox and I saw a very quiet, professional set with competent sounding pundits talking common sense. Then I realized all these people ; all these experts where hard right conservatives. One is as bad as the other, at least MSNBC has decided to be honest about who they are campaigning for. The only way to force networks to return to news reporting is through their pocket books. Haa…but Americans don’t really care enough to stand together and do something.

Shades of Gray profile image

Shades of Gray Hub Author 3 years ago

I believe that Americans will stand up. Of course we all get Palined. But if we are vocal enough they will listen. The bes way we can stand up and say no more is to vote. I for one (I didn't have a dog in this hunt until Obama won & Palin was nominated) I will vote for the Pit Bull. Why, because she not only speaks to me, she speaks for me. I don't agree with everything but I believe she also will listen to me. I am your basis middle class, struggling working American. McCain Palin have my vote. The Media needs to be called on their bias, they need to know that we can & do think for ourselves. And I am really tired of the same old tax & spend rhetoric. I want truth in advertising, politics & media. Sarah Palin is plain speaking & she speaks the truth. Something many in Washington just can't grasp.

Excellent hub!

I find it interesting that main stream media are now phsycis. Determining how long a person will live.

But I guess according to their beliefs, the world will end Dec. 2012 anyhow, so who gives a shit, right?  lol

I know many, many able bodied Americans with all their wits about them in their 80's. It's so sad to think SOME people believe once a person hits 70, he's worthless & his days are numbered. On the flip-side, I've known many 30-somethings who have been stricken with disease & death. So how can age even be a factor?

Shades of Gray profile image

Shades of Gray Hub Author 3 years ago

Wednesday Morning, Thank you for your comments.

Age shouldn't be a factor. Life experience is a valuable asset, there are very few 30 & 40 somethings that have any idea how the other half lives, how the economy works, what diplomacy is, what a leader is. They have not been vetted by life.

this election year is raw evidence of why the framers of the constitution built in the electorial college to stand permanant.

The VP debate was very tame. There was very little debating (by which I mean real-time discussion) and a great deal of rehearsed set-piece to camera. The stances on the economy, Iraq and Afghanistan were wholly predictable, as was the total cop-out, by both candidates, to say anything intelligent about the real Middle East problem area - Israel & Palestine. I don't want to "watch her roar". I prefer to see my politicians think.

Shades of Gray profile image

Shades of Gray Hub Author 3 years ago

I would love to see unscripted honest debate as well. In politics today none of the politicians have to think, their speeches are written for them, VP Candidates have to tow the line & support the Presidential Candidate. There is no such thing as a thinking Politician. That's why we have to think, look at the content of the Character of our politicians. Learn who they are, will they do what they say or what their handlers, the media & the polls tell them. Career Politicians are like unmanned sailing vessels, they are just blowing in the wind. This is a race for the President of the United States, we need to be very careful. Sarah Palin is not a Washington insider, she is refreshing, her character shows through, she does think for herself, she would not be Governor Palin if she didn't.. I enjoy watching her roar! When she is allowed to be her.
